Introduction to South China Institute (SCI)
China University of Petroleum (Beijing), South China Institute (BFSU SCI) is a newly established campus in Foshan, Guangdong province under the direct authority of China University of Petroleum (Beijing).
On 2015 May 20th, SCI was officially unveiled in Sino-European Service Center in Foshan, Guangdong Province.
The school is a new integrated industry, research and development organization with international standards built with the support of the local government of Guangdong province, which aims to serve the process of industrial upgrading and globalization of Chinese enterprises by integrating BFSU rich global resources, and is committed to regional and industrial research to promote into the industrial upgrading and docking, but also committed to training global talent, the cultivation of Chinese and foreign youth learning Exchange Community platform as well as to produce academic leaders in the era of China's economic globalization.
In keeping with BFSU's international perspective, the South China Institute specializes in teaching various programs for overseas students in full English or Chinese-medium. The courses are designed to provide international students with a wide range of teaching experiences, excellent business courses, professional modules and coupled with Chinese language training thus fostering industry experts and management talent who can succeed in the context of economic globalization. As China continues to become an important economic partner for a growing number of economies, our graduates who are proficient in the latest contemporary business management theory and practice will become active business elites and leaders in the 21st-century Sino-foreign economic exchanges.
As the only education and research institution in the Industrial Zone, SCI aims to provide knowledge and consultancy support to business practices. 1. Foundation Program (English for Academic Purpose - EAP)
Introduction to the Program
The Foundation Program at South China Institute (SCI) is designed for international students who intend to enrol for a business degree course but are not qualified in an academic setting.
The BFSU-SCI Foundation Program prepares students with O-Levels or its equivalent qualification to enter onto undergraduate degree programs offered by BFSU.
The program provides students with core subjects that will enhance their English proficiency, business and academic knowledge and at the same time, develop their understanding and appreciation of other basic subjects.
During Foundation semester, you will study a combination of core modules, including English Language, Business English, Chinese Language, Business Mathematics, Business Studies, and several electives, which prepares you for the undergraduate study.
5 credits can be transferred to the bachelor program and the tuition will be exempted accordingly if certain courses are completed successfully.
Students in this program for one semester or one year prior to enrolling for a degree course. Reasonable English proficiency is a requirement for entry to the program.

2. Chinese-taught Bachelor's Degree Programs
International Business and International Marketing
The degree programs aim to provide international students with a wide range of teaching experience, excellent applied business courses and professional Chinese training, to join the English language compulsory course learning, so as to develop a global perspective, familiar with the Chinese business environment of the complex language application management personnel.
In addition to providing a high standard of business theory teaching, the Chinese-taught business program is also accessible through in-depth corporate visits to enable students to come into contact with and learn first-hand about China's business environment and business knowledge. It also provides students with the opportunity to exchange opportunities overseas, thus deepening students ' understanding of the global Chinese economy, society and culture.

3. Chinese Language Training Programs
Chinese Language Training Program Introduction to the Program The Chinese Language Training Program at South China Institute (SCI) is a one semester or one year program for international students.
The Program Teaching of the Chinese language is offered at various levels based on students’ language proficiency, which covers from zero-basis starters to higher levels. The courses are focused on aural and oral training.

The program is designed for non-degree seeking students who will spend one semester in China and hope to acquire a better understanding of contemporary China. Not only to LEARN but to EXPERIENCE the dynamic cultural and business context of China, as well as its interaction with the other major economies.
Curriculum:
BFSU helps students with internships career advice. Such as with ShunFeng, HSBC, Deloitte, PWC, Mercedes Benz, JP Morgan Chase etc.
